Earlier this week, I was kindly invited to visit the brand new Rocket Eats concession. Located within SPAR, in central Bolton, Rocket Eats is setting the standard high- offering Instagrammable burgers, mouth-watering desserts and milkshakes as well as loaded fries and spectacular salad dishes. Launched in 2021, Rocket Eats is already becoming a popular option for locals, with all food Halal-friendly and vegan choices also available.
My first impression was that the decor of the concession was really eye catching.
The bright blue contrasted with the grey, in addition to the lighting, really caught my attention the second I entered the SPAR shop. The signs looked really modern, containing pictures of their food which was great to help you visualise what you wanted to order. I’m a very visual person so this helped me choose my order massively!

I opted for the 'Alien Burger', an amazing chicken burger with a green bun- perfect for the gram!
The green colouring comes from the spinach-infused bread, meaning no artificial colourings are used.
The Alien burger contains:
- breaded chicken breast;
- maple cured beef bacon;
- cheese;
- fried onions;
- guacamole;
- purple lettuce; and
- Alien mayo.
All burgers come with a choice of normal seasoned fries, rosemary fries, sweet potato fries or waffle fries. You can also upgrade to loaded fries if you’d like.
I chose the rosemary fries and I’ve never tasted anything like them. They were so flavoursome and cooked to perfection. The best fries I’ve ever had from a burger place- or maybe anywhere- hands down! They really reminded me of chip shop chips with a generous sprinkling of herbs and flavours- amazing.

Ive heard so much about Rocket Eats’ famous milkshakes, so I had to try one whilst I was there!
I chose the ‘Outta Space Cake’ shake, which contains:
- vanilla ice cream;
- milk;
- Madeira cake;
- raspberry syrup;
- sprinkles; and
- vanilla whipped cream.
All I’m going to say is wow. Just wow. I’ve never had a better shake in my entire life. The fact that the ingredients include proper Mr Whippy ice cream as well as actual cake just took this milkshake to the next level. The flavours were out of this world and it was a really thick consistency too!

I love the whole concept of Rocket Eats. An accessible concession available for take out or delivery, providing amazing food for all occasions. The ingredients, quality and everything inbetween is just high up there for me, making it a key rival for its long-standing fast food competitors.
