NQ64: Manchester’s newest & largest arcade

This week I was kindly invited to attend the housewarming party for the brand new NQ64 arcade bar. Located just next door to its existing site, in the old Dive Bar & Grill, this new site provides a much more spacious location with a wide variety of games, as well as multiple seating areas. There is also a covered outdoor seating area with heaters and its own bar, for those who want to escape the noise for a while and catch up.

The first thing that struck me was the decor. The space was decorated from every wall to the ceiling with bright, abstract patterns, paintwork and graffiti. There were also coloured permanent markers on some of the tables where guests could sign their names to provide eye-catching and personalised messages. I loved this idea as it is creating memories too. The bright artwork mixed with the neon lighting created a really cool vibe.

We were given several drinks tokens each, which included some normal drinks and some cocktails.

I opted for the Aku Aku Fruit Punch which was Plantation Pineapple Rum, Mount Gay Eclipse Rum, Peach, Banana, Apple, Refresher Syrup. This drink was delicious - it was strong but really fruity!

We also tried the Mega Daisy which was Beefeater Gin, Aperol, Orange, Lychee, Elderflower & Prosecco. This was also lovely - I love anything with aperol so it was a yes from me but I liked the added fruitiness.

Later in the night we also had a hooch each - no explanation needed!

You can also order pizza from Crazy Pedros by scanning a QR code. We tried a variety of different pizzas but my favourite was definitely the Summer B - wild mushrooms, garlic ricotta, truffle oil, spinach and white pizza sauce

And the main part of the night… the games!

I honestly can’t tell you how many different games there were. There was genuinely something for everyone. From old school arcade games, to car racing, to shooting games,  basketball nets, dance mats and more! Add a DJ into the mix playing RnB classics and you’ve got the best vibe!

My favourites had to be the car racing, dance mats and the basketball nets. I forgot how hard the dance mats are.

Although my favourite part of the night was definitely when Meg threw the basketball so aggressively that it bounced back out of the enclosure and hit her on the head!

I would really recommend this bar for a fun night out with friends or a date night.
