Spend a long weekend with me

Last time I did a ‘Spend a weekend with me’ it got such a good response so I thought, with having quite a jam packed weekend, I would share this weekend with you! I love being a bit more real and sharing more of my life with you all, as I’m conscious that some weeks can just be outfit pictures or brand content.

If you want to see what I got up to this weekend, keep reading!

On Thursday my friend and I went to The Ivy in Spinningfields. We actually booked this back in May when everything opened up again but, with it being so busy, we couldn’t get a reservation for a normal, non-bar stool table until mid June!

I’ve wanted to visit The Ivy for aaaages now & Asia was top of my list! The food and service was amazing and the decor, well, that was just dreamy! I’ve not had such a good meal in a long time so it’s definitely somewhere I’ll visit regularly.

I opted for the Popcorn Shrimp, Salt & Pepper Crispy Squid & the Chicken Gyozas. The Shrimp was probably my favourite out of the three but I thoroughly enjoyed each dish. I also had a Lychee Spritz which was beaut!

Nothing beats a good brunch and with Friday being my first day off, it was a shout! I met my friend in Northern Quarter at The Shack where we sat out in the sun, drank gin & caught up! Their Eggs Benedict with a touch of smashed avocado was out of this world- I’d definitely recommend.

Late afternoon, I went for a picnic with my cousin to a local park. It was so nice to catch up and soak up the sun. We definitely had the perfect picnic snacks!

In the evening I watched the new Cruella film which I LOVED. If you haven’t seen it yet, I definitely recommend it! The fashion is 10/10 and I loved the plot too! We watched it from the comfort of our sofa on Disney+ but it is also out at the cinema if you fancy a trip out.

On Saturday I caught up with 4 of my lovely friends that I’ve met several years ago at an event I was blogging! We went for food and a catch up at Dom’s Tavola on Deansgate which I highly recommend. The food was incredible, as was the service, and the decor was very pretty. I want to go back when I don’t have to worry about bloating (girls, I’m sure you feel me on this) so I can eat allll the pasta!

Then we headed to Impossible which was our first “club” night post-COVID! It was so nice to have a hint of normality and be in this kind of environment again, although sadly we couldn’t dance.

Apparently the hottest day of the year, which actually turned out to be extremely overcast. Nevertheless, a picnic is always a good idea. I met up with 5 of my friends at Peel Park for a girly day filled with lots of food, prosecco & gin!

We had such a cute day catching up - I wasn’t on my phone too much so I don’t have too many pictures. Let me just say that the game got veryyyy competitive and we laughed, a lot!

I’ve had the best four days and feel very blessed to have such amazing people in my life. I am forever grateful!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my little photo diary and a bit more of an insight into what I get up to day to day!

As always, thanks for reading x
