Last weekend I celebrated turning another year older (and not so much wiser) with my close friends and family. Birthdays are always a weird one for me- I love celebrating and going all out for my friend and families birthdays but when it comes to my own, I just prefer low key things with the people closest to me, particularly as I’ve got older. This birthday was spent doing exactly that!
On Friday I went to Sakku Samba with the girls, a mix of Japanese and Brazilian cuisine offering both an a la carte and an unlimited/all you can eat menu!
Both the food and decor did not disappoint - I was really impressed with the quality of the food as well as the extensive menu, particularly for an all you can eat style restaurant. I will definitely be going back here!
On Saturday I went for an afternoon tea with my best friend, her sister and our mums! We went to Cottons Hotel & Spa in Knutsford which was so lovely. The portion size was just enough- we were really full but not too overfaced and the service was amazing! There was also no additional charge for unlimited coffee and tea which is often not the case. I am going back here for a spa break at the end of this month and am very excited now due to the service we received!
On Monday I went for lunch at San Carlo Fiorentina in Hale. The decor was absolutely beautiful with the indoor restaurant featuring a classy, marble look and the outdoor a white & floral area.
The creamy mushroom risotto is easily one of the best risottos I’ve ever had in my life and the fact it was wrapped in Parma ham just made it even better. I would really recommend this if you go!
