Okay, so I know it's only October but I welcome any opportunity to get into the festive spirit so I was really excited when I received my invite to a Christmas menu taster at Village Brasserie in Manchester. Located in the heart of the Gay Village, Village Brasserie is a hidden treasure. With elegant booths, vibrant lighting and tasteful decor, this is an interior dream.
The evening was a casual vibe with guests able to network and sample a variety of starters, mains and desserts in a canape form. This was a great idea as it gave guests the opportunity to try an array of different dishes from the menu as opposed to selecting just one option.

The food was absolutely amazing. I loved the different tastes and textures and thoroughly enjoyed every single dish. The Braised Ox Cheek was definitely my favourite and it was great to try something I wouldn't normally select off the menu!
We were also provided with free-flowing prosecco, iced cocktails and spiced gin; fit for the festive season!
The three course festive menu is open for both lunch and dinner servings with extremely reasonable prices and is available from 22 November.
