When I received the invitation to the 'Cocktails & Carbs' night, I couldn't wait to attend. Cocktails and carbs is definitely my kinda night! I've seen so many pictures on Instagram and other social media sites of food and drink at The Laundrette and have wanted to visit for a while now (but sadly just haven't got round to it).
First opened in Chorlton, the restaurant and bar became well known for its' variety of extremely Instagrammable cocktails and went from success to success. As a result, The Laundrette opened its second restaurant in Manchester in late 2016.
First Street is the up and coming area in central Manchester, in my opinion. Brimming with restaurants, bars - and even hosting the current Junkyard Golf - this is the perfect location for a cocktail bar!

The evening began with alcohol - as every good evening does! These candyfloss cocktails were insanely good. I am a sucker for anything sweet and they tasted like an alcoholic milkshake!! Plus, who can resist a massive amount of candyfloss...
We were then seated and provided with a variety of sweet treats, including chocolate-coated strawberries, sticky toffee sponge and brownies. There was also watermelon as a healthier alternative!
My personal favourite was the chocolate-coated strawberries. Unpopular opinion but I'm not usually a fan if I'm honest, however, these were heaven!
